Who we are
All on Board opened in 2001 in Berlin to offer quality and friendly language teaching to company employees and private learners.
As a language school we put people first and take care of our teachers, students and clients to create the best learning environment.
After many years in Wedding, we began a new chapter in September 2024 by moving to Rosenthaler Platz and joining forces with our friends at Expath Language School. We are excited to carry forward the legacy of both schools!
We hope to see you in our classes, in person or online.
Carlos Martinez
Managing Partner
Before moving to Berlin in 2007, Carlos had years of experience in New York City as a small business owner and, for a short period, a licensed equity trader. In Berlin, Carlos pursued his interests and began work as a Business English trainer. He eventually set up his own school to provide small companies with English and German language training. He is now very happy to bring his expertise to All on Board.
Jason Zuzak
Managing Partner
Jason has lived in Berlin for nearly 20 years working as a coach, leadership consultant and English language trainer for a wide range of business clients. He got his start teaching English in St. Petersburg, Russia after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis. After working in business in the US for a number of years he decided to make training and coaching the focus of his career. Today he uses the valuable insights he's gained over the decades as part of All on Board leadership team.
Laurence Bardout
Managing Partner
Laurence has worked in education around the world for over 30 years as a teacher, academic manager, and Cambridge CELTA and DELTA teacher trainer. She's worked in many settings from universities to training institutes to language schools and she is pleased to now share her pedagogical knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching with our brilliant team of teachers.
Get to know our teachers

Rufus is from near Bonn and he moved to Berlin to study Philosophy. He's been teaching German as a foreign language since 2021. When not teaching, Rufus is either in the library or jogging in the Grunewald forest.

Maika comes from the Rhineland and carnival is home for her. After her studies she fell in love with Berlin and moved here. Maika loves meeting new people and sharing her passion for the German language and culture.

Karl gained teaching experience in Burkina Faso, Madagascar, and in Berlin. In his classes, he focuses on removing the fear of complicated grammar rules and making learners curious about the German language.

Angelika enjoys teaching German to beginners and up to level B2, because she loves seeing their progress and how quickly they start communicating in German.

Abby is passionate about cinema, theater, literature and the origins of our languages. We come together on the stage, where language connects us and diversity unites us.

Christian is from northern Germany and has been teaching German since 2016. He likes interacting with his students and creating a pleasant and relaxed learning atmosphere. Lessons should be fun and enjoyable for everyone involved.

For Angela, teaching German is not just a pleasure, but it also gives her a lot in return — she feels happier after a German class than before.

Having learned several foreign languages, Annina empathizes with her learners and likes to boost their motivation through games and lively discussions, creating a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone can speak freely and try things out.
